ITALIANS DEFY FRANCE ROME, Italy, Nov. 30. Seventy-five thousand black shirted Fascists, assembled in the Piazza Venezia, tonight and shouted defiance at France and demanded the restoration of Tunis and other French-owned territories to the Italian flag. The demonstration followed a foreign policy declaration in the Chamber of Deputies by Foreign Minister Count Galeazzo Ciano. "It is our intention," Ciano told the chamber, "to safe- guard with unshakeable firmness, the interests and natural aspirations of the Italian 1 people." Cries of "We want Tunis," were mingled with shouts of "Nice, Savoy, Corsica," all French territory, Cianos speech reviewed the Czechoslovakian crisis, and told of Italys part in solving it. Ciano revealed for the first time that Italy made intensive naval, military and aerial preparations in order to be ready for any eventuality. Mussolini, Ciano declared, personally pledged Italian assistance to Chancellor Adolph Hitler if war had developed over Czechoslovakia.
