4 f ILLINOIS DATES HELD UP j The Illinois Racing Commission failed to announce the 1939 schedule of racing dates Wednesday, the last day of No- j vember, even though required to do so by the 1937 Weeks-Knauf-Randolph I amendment to the horse racing act, j which states specifically that the fol- j lowing years dates must be allotted and announced during the last fifteen j days of November in the preceding j year.
