CALIFORNIA-BRED WINNERS ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 30. Smoky Snyder and Brown Jade, both bred and trained at Rancho San Luis Rey, were the only Cali-fornia-breds able to win special events at the recent Bay Meadows meeting. The former earned ,055 by capturing the California Home-Bred Stakes, while Brown Jade took down the Inaugural Handicap, netting her owner ,165. Smoky Snyder is by the dead sire, Bistouri, while Brown Jade is by Alexander Pantages. Twenty-one California sires figured in the distribution of first monies at the meeting. Bon Homme, also a San Luis Rey stallion, led in number of races won by progeny, numbering six. a
