PRINCE HEATHER, well up from the start, came strongly on the outside of JOCKWELL after entering -the stretch and, despite meeting with slight interference from the latter, got to the front near the end to win in a drive. JOCKWELL raced to the front early to set a good pace in the going and held on well in the final drive. THE FLOWER cut to the inside in the last eighth and was going well at the finish. MY MINT showed good early speed. SEXTUS closed much ground. CRYSTAL STREAK tired. HADAGE broke well, but could not keep up. MODEL DAME acted badly at the post and was started from outside the stall gate, but raced to the front early to show good speed in the going and, drawing away from GOLDEN IVY in the stretch, won easily. SHASTA BUDDY lacked early speed, but closed ground in the stretch. GOLDEN IVY tired in the run home. NICASIO raced fairly well. 3KY SHOOT was shut off rounding the far turn. KENT crashed into the inside fence after entering the stretch and went to his knees, then bolted sharply across the track to the outside, interfering with BONILUNA and SKY SHOOT. ONE MILE was always within striking distance of HADNOGAL while the latter was making the pace and, coming fast on ihe outside of the latter after entering the stretch, drew up on even terms, but swerved in to knock HADNOGAL off stride when his rider was blinded by flying mud and was disqualified for the foul and placed second. HADNOGAL opened up a good lead in the early running, seemed to tire after entering the stretch, but, after meeting with serious interference, came again under the whip and missed but narrowly. MASTER JEAN bore out badly at the start and made up much ground to show a good effort. STAR STEPPER raced fairly well in the going. GREEN JADE tired. SITTING BULL and MISS LOAN were badly outrun. BLUE HOUR, closest to TONAS in the early running, raced well to the finish. TONAS raced to the front j arly to open up a long lead in the first half mile, but tired badly in the stretch.
