There are fine resorts gorgeous private estates. The Vanderbilts and the Whitneys and all the big shots from New York are wont to gather there. The track in South Carolina has housed many a famous horse. Sun Beau freshened up there before his western tour and prep- ped there once again for the drhre that made him the worlds leading money winner. Cavalcade legged up at Columbia prior to his excursion to the coast. Horses from Columbia in years past have frequently migrated to the Pacific Coast and started right off the cars.
