N.A.A.TJ. RETAINS METRIC RULE WASHINGTON, D. C, Dec. 3. A proposal to substitute the linear system of measurement in place of the metric system in the national track and field championships was overwhelmingly voted down by the track and field committee of the National Amateur Athletic Union, which is holding its fiftieth annual convention here.
