CLEOS PRIDE raced evenly. OVLOP made a good move to save ground on the stretch turn, but tired near the end. DIRECT was badly outrun all the way. COUNT ATLAS showed good early speed and raced XENOMAY into defeat, but was tiring at the end. MASKER closed steadily under pressure. The latter came very fast in the stretch and was gaining on the winner. SKY BREEZE was in close quarters a couple of times and finished on the inside, but showed a good effort. SUSPENSION was slow to eet going and was outrun for half the distance, then made up ground. VALE OF TEARS and BOOTER BILLIE had speed in pacemaking but dropped back when the real racing began.
