LARRY S. moved up fast after reaching the last quarter. DINNER JACKET raced wide and tired in the last eighth. ONA BOY had no mishaps. GOOD OMEN had fine speed for five-eighths, then gave way badlv. POWERS GOURAUD, away fast, was taken in hand when outrun, saved ground entering the stretch, moved up between horses in the drive and was up near the end. IMPERIAL JEAN made the pace under good rating, saved ground and held on well to the last eighth, then faltered. ALPENGLOW lost much ground on the first turn, moved up fast after three-eighths and held on fairly well in the drive. SMILING PRINCE, outrun for three-quarters, made up ground thereafter under pressure. STORMY SEA had no mishaps. GREEN COUNTRY tired after showing good speed for five-eighths. IDOLATRY, well up from the start and forced to race a trifle wide, responded to strong urging in the last quarter, held on well, but was no match for the winner. POLANTE SETH, slow to begin, raced wide and made up ground fast in the last quarter. FIRM HAND, under pressure in the last three-eighths, held on fairly well. HUEU, outrun early, rallied only mildly when shaken up after three-eighths. BELTON quit after a half mile. IN CHANCERY tired after a half mile. FRANCINE C. had no mishaps. SKIPSEA tired after three-quarters. CHEHALIS gave way after showing speed for seven-eighths. LOWRY broke poorly and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. PRINCE SADOR, held in reserve and never far out of it, responded readily to strong urging in the last five-sixteenths, began drifting out in the last quarter, but continued gamely and held MORRIS GRINER safe. The latter was under snug restraint for five-eighths, improved his position rapidly thereafter when placed to vigorous urging and was gradually getting to the winner in the late stages. SWIFT SPOT was taken to the inside after the first quarter, saved ground to the stretch turn, where he came wide again and tired under pressure. WOODLANDER, outrun for three-quarters, made up some ground thereafter. OZARK was much, used in the first three-quarters and tired when challenged. PATROL SCOUT, well handled and close to the pace from the start, disposed of HIGH PLACE approaching the final turn, quickly drew into command and held MICHIGAN FLYER safe under rousing tactics. MICHIGAN FLYER dropped back soon after the str.rt, was fortunate to get through on the inside while improving his position, but was unable to reach the leader. HOPE DIAMOND, outrun to the final quarter, came between horses when straightened out in the stretch and closed with a rush. LINGER AWHILE, on the outside throughout and showing good speed to the final quarter, tired thereafter. BRIGHT was unable to keep up. TORCH STICK began slowly, lasrked early speed and was never a serious factor. STREET ARAB showed brief early speed. HIGH PLACE was rushed into the lead soon after the start, set the pace for a half mile, then gave way suddenly. JOJI T. was never a factor.
