t FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES I $ $, George Krehbiel received confirmation of the name Lyner for the yearling bay colt by Bright Knight Lady Myra, which is quartered at Keeneland at present. Eddie Seremba, who has a string of horses on the grounds, is being visited by Joe Mass, a home-town pal from Union City, N. J. The latter operates several night clubs in the East. Jockey C. W. Smith packed his tack and departed for Havana, Cuba, and will ride at Oriental Park throughout the fifty-two days - of racing at the island track. In a swap, Russell Jewett acquired the three-year-old filly, Ann McGinty from E. K. Bryson, and in turn transferred the mare, Spartan Lady, to the Maryland owner and breeder. Amos Wallin, trainer for the Triple Springs Farm, will leave for Lexington, Ky., Sunday. morning, to supervise the shipment of two brood mares to Dallas, Texas, the site of Triple Springs Farm, and on his return to Kentucky will bring a weanling colt by Silverdale Lotus Flower, to the Blue Grass. Zevson, Mrs. E. H. Bartletts popular handicap performer, will be on the shelf for an indefinite period due to having picked up a nail several days ago while being walked around the barn. Zevsons leg filled up, but trainer Joe Baumbach attended to the injury immediately and reports that the son of Zev Delphine is improving. Walter Richey, starter on the Canadian circuit who has been visiting here for the past week, left Saturday morning by motor for his home in Quebec. The stables of Mrs. H. C. Rumage and W. A. Mikel will be shipped to Oriental Park soon after the turn of the new year, according to present plans of these owners. Mikel has a total of nineteen at Jefferson Park, including five yearlings, while Mrs. Rumage has nine head. Walter Emerson has been engaged to direct the training of Otterrop for the account of Mrs. D. H. Corey. J. H. Schlesinger announced that he is considering taking over a stable of horses to condition for the remainder of the winter, but did not divulge the party with whom he is negotiating. According to word received by F. D. Mc-Elroy, N. L. Naylor, Houston publisher and a party of friends from the Texas metropolis, are due to arrive here about the middle of the week for a visit of several days. McElroy is training a stable of racers for Naylor. A third carload of horses to leave on the sea-train next week is in the process of being made up, and after completion of the consignment, R. P. McAuliffe, who has been soliciting horses for Oriental Park, will return to Miami.
