ONLY MINOR UNITS DAMAGED NEW YORK, N. Y., April 19. Only minor units of the 50,000 collection of famous art works destined for the French pavilion at the Worlds Fair were aboard the liner Paris, which was damaged by fire yesterday, Georges Wildenstein, director of the. exhibit, said today. Wildenstein said the most famous objects had been shipped ahead of schedule on the He de France. Furniture and objects of art from the Chinese Imperial Palace were aboard the Paris. They were to be sent to the United States for an exhibition at the Arden Galleries and were to be the official Chinese exhibit. The Imperial Shrine of the Royal Family, a priceless eight-foot pagoda of white jade, was not damaged.
