i SHIP ELCHICO TO CHURCHILL DOWNS ON MAY 1 FOR DERBY . 4 LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 19. El Chico and three other horses also eligible to start in the Kentucky Derby will be shipped to Churchill Downs on May 1, according to information received by William E. Smith, Kentucky owner and breeder, in whose private barn at the local track the horses will be quartered. Besides El Chico, unbeaten juvenile champion of last year, the quartet will include Our Mat, a probable running mate for the former in the Downs fixture; Time Sheet and Substantial, Smith understands. With such plans, William Ziegler, Jr., will invade the Downs with his Derby hand at full strength. Should anything happen to prevent El Chico or Our Mat from starting, the stable will have two reserve eligibles to ! fall back on. As a two-year-old, Time Sheet ! turned in several good performances last j year, while Substantial, which failed to win j in five chances as a juvenile, is reported to have displayed a large measure of improvement in his spring trials. Although his record is not as imposing as that of El Chico, Our Mat needs no introduction to the racing public.
