SWOPE FAVORS MINIMUM WAGE SCHENECTADY, N. Y., April 19. Speaking at the Union College conference on industry and government, Gerard Swope, president of the General Electric Company, expressed his belief that an assured minimum annual wage would aid in making the hardships of cyclical employment less burdensome.
