1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES and Louis Feustel reported the arrival at the Scott Farm in Kentucky of a colt by American Flag Lady Wisdom. The youngster is the property of Mrs. E. G. Lewis. Tom Thorp left for Narragansett Park where he will pass upon applications for trainers and jockeys tor that meeting. The condition books for the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting were distributed by Francis Dunne, among horsemen here. The meeting opens on May 27 and runs to July 4. Jockey R. Workman was tendered the mount on one of the Milky Way Stable starters in the Kentucky Derby. Seven races are carded for Thursday, a departure from the past two days when six were offered. The Wheatley Stables Gilded Knight, was shipped to Havre de Grace to start in the Chesapeake Stakes. Trainer George Odom will ship Early Delivery to Narragansett Park to start in the Spring Handicap, feature at that track on Saturday. The colt will be ridden by jockey D. Meade. Harry Richards will ride Volitant in the Chesapeake for the Saratoga Stable, it was announced here Wednesday. Assistant starter Eddie Blind suffered a badly bruised nose in the fourth race when he was hit by Grey Gold. Blind missed one race but again took his post in the sixth. Dave Butler, noted motion picture director, was among the clubhouse contingent. He races a stable of horses on California tracks. J. Shirley Ross arrived from his Norfolk home and will stay for the meeting. He has a stable here in charge of Don Cameron. B. F. Christmas arrived from Bowie with several horses that he raced at that point. P. E. Knebelkamp, acting for the Orienta Stable, sold to R. W. Collins at private terms the horses Cal Rainey, Spanish Fly and Spanish Mammon. At the same time he purchased from R. W. Collins the horse Don Pecos for the account of Orienta Stable.
