THE SPOTTER rushed to the front, established a good lead after a quarter, was put to strong urging when challenged and won with something to spare. SNOW FLOWER, in close quarters early, improved her position when clear and tired after offering a mild bid midway of the stretch. UPHOLD, away fastest of all, but unable io keep up from her outside position, lost ground throughout and closed fast. CANT CATCH dropped back at the far turn, raced wide thereafter and came again in the drive. STEATER was done after a half mile. HALF SHOES was outrun. LOUDOUN had early speed. SIR WITCH was outrun. RAYMOND, used up in the pace, quit under pressure. HY SONNY set a good pace for a half mile and tired rapidly thereafter. MOKENA showed a good effort. GOGGLES was outrun. PETES NIECE quit. RAVENNA, hustled along while saving ground, moved up rapidly nearing the final three-eighths, was forced to come to the outside of FRANCINE C. in the drive and finished strongly. BIG GAY moved forwardly through the field and closed with a rush. FRANCINE C, hustled along from the start, tired in the drive and was not persevered with when tiring. SWEET TONE, forced back entering the far turn, came again when clear and held on well. FIELD DAY tired. MERIDIAN TIME quit. SWIFT LAD showed nothing.
