SAXOXIAX, lacking early speed and outrun for the first half mile, raced to the inside rounding the turn to improve his position, wore BRAVE HEART down and was hard urged to stall off GRAXDIFLORA. The latter, sluggish in the early running, settled in stride and came with a bold rush on the inside in the closing drive. CHATABIT bettered her position on the outside and came courageously under a hard drive at the end. MISS GIXO forced a steady pace and held on well. BRAVE HEART was ridden hard, but failed to stay under punishment. SUNNY ROSE saved ground and raced well placed, but was not good enough. GUYEXCOURT had no mishans. The others were outrun. KAPTIME, prominent in the early running, moved up stoutly nearing the stretch, displaced PHOXE DIJOX inside the final eighth, then drew out as if much the best. PHOXE DIJOX shook off AVESTA after going a half mile, saved ground, but could not withstand the winner under punishment. LATEPASS raced weli up early and held on gamely to the end. AVESTA raced along with the pacemaker while on the inside for a half mile, then went to the outside, but labored in the footine. NUGGET closed stoutlv after beins; in trouble early. HAYAM, going in his best form, worked his way to the leaders entering the stretch, finished stoutly and outstayed POMPE GRAXDE in the closing drive. The latter was a keen factor from the start, then raced into a short lead midway of the stretch, but could not stall off. the winner. J. EDGAR H. could not get clear while leading and tired in the stretch drive. GOLDEX QRGO was taken up at the start, then was steered very wide for the balance of the trip. MIXY MO was forced to race on the outside from the start and raced well. MARYS LASSIE could not got into contention. BUFFOOX tired early. TRArSHOT showed speed for a half mile. MESS was outrun. SPOUT RUN, at home in the footing, was steadied back of the leaders until settled in full stride, saved ground, then came through on the inside in the final drive to get up right at the end. SUPREMA broke fast to get into a clear lead, rallied when shaken up, but could not withstand the winner. ALSELEDA was favored by improved handling, raced nearest to the pacemaker and held on stoutly in the closing drive. KANALBRET was unable to reach the leaders. CANNON BLAST broke tardily, was permitted to fall back badlv, then made up much ground in the late stages. BRIERLEY was held safe. BIRD HAVEN was outrun. FLYING ALONE tired. CARNAGE moved through on the inside to take a short lead at the turn, then tired under punishment. WALTER MORTON was outrun and could not menace. MR. TYR was sent up on the inside midway of the back stretch to engage THE LAKE, was hustled through to get into the lead at the final turn, came out off the rail to draw clear entering the stretch, but had to De vigorously urged to stall off LOURDES. The latter dropped far back early, settled in stride and finished with a bold rush in the last three-sixteenths. HIT AND RUN. going in his best form, but slow to gam his bet stride, circled his field and closed with a belated rush. RED GLARE was in the thick of contention until reaching the stretch, then tired. DARK SUN was closer up than usual, but was not good enough. MON REVE dropped back badly and was unable to threaten. ROCKY MEADOW had no excuse. THE LAKE quit to a walk. MANTAGNA was held safe. The latter was closest to the winner from the start, moved up strongly at the final turn, but could not gain in the final drive. CONNIE PLAUT lacked early speed, worked her way into contention, but failed to menace the first two. PASCUA passed tiring horses. REBELLIOUS was never a threat. GIMPEY tired.
