■ AK-SAR-BEN TURF NOTES | , $ The Gorbets, Sam and Glenn, father and son, regulars at Ak-Sar-Ben every season, were among the arrivals from Fairmount Park. Glenn unloaded Johnnie Dear, Ebony Boy, Bahadur and Gale Way, which he races for himself, while Ronnie Bane, the property of Chester Orr and Leana G., which races for J. D. Rodriguez, are also under the direction of the younger Goibet. There * were five in the consignment of the elder ! | Gorbet. which consisted of Dixie Dora, Betty I Bane, Big Sam, Flashing Thru and Recipro- 3 $ cal. Another trainer who was given quarters at Ak-Sar-Ben was William Shannon, f who was in charge of four head which race f for various owners, and are Parkeville, which he races in his own interests; Cen- j-tennial Boy and Irvin H, the property of - J. B. Witt; Genie White, a two-year-old D which will represent F. A. Metz; Clasp and to Wilfred Mac were the two which trainer q Harry Strange brought in for M. Rinker. Apprentice Frank W. Speer accepted his 5 first mount of the meeting when he drew t to the assignment on Clientelle in the second race Tuesday. r J. A. Fouts expanded his string when Tightmouth, which races for A. Bourelle, y was delivered from Fairmount Park. c Apprentice W. Cassity, who was among the leading riders at Fairmount, and the g veteran, Joe Dyer, checked in at Ak-Sar-Ben s Tuesday. Cassity lost no time getting into action, filling several engagements during i, the afternoon. Dyer will ride free lance, tl while Cassity is under call to his father, Leonard Cassity. tl Mrs. F. P.
