WEATHER TURNS UNPLEASANT Third Twilight Card at North Randall Decided Under Poor Conditions — Scratches Reduce the Fields. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 13.— Sunset racing again had its inning here this afternoon at historic North Randall before a good crowd of racing enthusiasts who faced the unpleasant elements to witness the eight-race program. The sport was contested under a cloudy sky and over a track made slow by rains which continued throughout the morning. Primarily because of the change in track conditions, the fields were greatly reduced by the late scratches. Todays was the third sunset program of the meeting, the first late-afternoon card offered on Tuesday. The first two days of sunset racing were staged on Thursday and after an increase in attendance and wagering on these days the North Randall management decided to follow this policy through the remainder of the meeting on the days stated. Like the other daily cards offered here, this did not lack distance races. In fact, three of the eight were at a distance of one mile or more, with the remaining events at six furlongs. The Sunset Purse, a sprint at six furlongs, was featured. The sixth race saw six horses competing after Mrs. C. J. Patchetts Spey Crest, and Dr. Frank Hares Voniadale had been scratched from it, due to the change in track conditions.
