The latter took command early, set the pace under steadying reserve, rallied to strong riding, but was not good enough. NELLIE QUINCE, slow to get going, closed a eood gap in a fine performance. BABY WRACK raced in contention throughout, but could not threaten the leaders. SAN ARDO tired in the stretch. PROPAGANDIST failed to be a serious contender under punishment. ALL FORGIVEN could not keep up. FOOTWORK was outpaced from the start. PRINCE BALLOT quit. BROWN MAN was withdrawn after reaching the post by order of the stewards.
