MONOGRAPH, away in stride and able to race with the leaders, responded well, but could not improve his position. CENTENNIAL BOY, away well, raced evenly in a good performance. REDDING began slowly, then closed a eood gap. CONBAR had no excuse. BOB ON lacked speed. JOSEPH A. stumbled and lost his rider in the stretch. HALLUCINATOR rushed to the lead early, gave way when challenged and, while no match for the first two, Iield the others safe. FAY COTNER closed resolutely from a slow beeinning. GEORGE K. raced well.
