AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES T t . 1 Jockey Wayne Wright was engaged to ride Lovely Night for Mrs. F. A. Clark in the Carter Handicap on Saturday. James Butler, of Empire City, was on hand for the afternoon. Edward S. Friendly announced Thursday that the good race mare Jacola had been retired and will enter the stud next spring. The mare bowed badly in her last race. Samuel D. Riddle announced Thursday that War Admiral had been retired for good. The Philadelphia owner gave up all hope that the injury to the colts ankle would respond to treatment, and this brought forth the announcement. War Admiral will be shipped to Kentucky from his Maryland farm, and enter the stud next spring. Francis Dunne received a rolling pin wrapped with red ribbons through the mail from a group of "admirers," the photo finish boys. l
