The King said they were leaving "after some of the most inspiring and illuminating weeks in our lives," and that "our minds and hearts are full." He de- clared they are returning to England with ! f new sense of the resources and responsi- j j e E bilities "of our British Empire." Queen * Elizabeth said the tour had given her mem- i j ories that the passage of time will never j j dim. Their majesties sailed for home this I | r evening on the Empress of Britian. Part „ of King Georges broadcast was delivered ] in French, as many Frencli-Canadians lis- tened in. His farewell address was given at the government of Nova Scotia luncheon in j Halifax. j
