"j . . j , j , y Valdina String to Suffolk LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 4.— Thirty-six j of Emerson F. Woodwards Valdina Farms « thoroughbreds leave here Wednesday for Suffolk Downs. They entrain in charge ; of Frank Podesta, as trainer Frank Cat-rone left today for Pimlico, where Woodwards Valdina Orphan, who placed third J in the Kentucky Derby, will contest next Saturdays renewal of the rich Preakness J Stakes. The only horse Catrone took with J Valdina Orphan was Fairmond, a four- J year-old. Hollywood, Derby running mate of Valdina Orphan, will not fill his en- j gagement in the Pimlico stake. The Val- J dina establishment, one of the largest in the country, is expected to return to the mid-West for the Arlington Park and i Washington Park meetings.
