CROISSANT lost ground entering the stretch. SURPRISE BOX raced wide earlv and came to the inside for the drive. PRIMARILY was unable to keep up. ROSCOE K.. going in best form and steadied after relinquishing the lead, came fast when called upon in the drive, wore down WHEAT entering the final eighth and held his advantage under strong pressure. WHEAT, rushed to the front entering the final three-quarters, drew clear rapidly, was put to strong handling when challenged, was unable to withstand the winner, but held on well. ANONYMOUS worked his way forward on the outside and tired near the end. CALATAN raced .wide and held on well. WILD CHANCE was unable to keep up FENWAY had no mishaps. IMPREGNABLE showed little. BLUE FLIGHT, fastest to begin and reserved for three-eighths, moved to the leaders with a ru«h and, though inclined to bear over when taking the lead, drew clear rapidly to win with something to spare. SAMPLER, under good handling from the start, forged to the front approaching the stretch and, after suffering interference from LE CHAT during the run through the stretch, held on well. LE CHAT, hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear and bore to the inside during the drive. ZENANA, far back early, was sent to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. QUEENS DELIGHT was through after going a half mile. FREE DOUBLE took command at once and, after giving way going into the turn, regained the lead quickly, then was put to strong urging when straightened in the stretch and withstood FLAUGHT. The latter, steadied while forced to lose ground, moved up when called upon and closed fastest of all. FIRST SON improved his position between horses and offered a bold bid midway of the drive, but hung in the last strides. ONE LINK, far back until reaching the stretch, raced up on the inside, but tired. SIR COUNSELLOR lacked racing room early and tired. YORK RIVER was in close quarters the greater part of the dash. BETTER HlRRY. a factor from the start, forged to the-front on the turn, but gave wav after going three-eighths. IKE was outrun.
