New Owners7 First Score FORT WORTH. Texas, May 6.— Mrs. H. Paul Bonner, Fort Worth socialite, who recently entered the ranks of thoroughbred owners and has engaged Norman "Butsey" Hernandez, New Orleans horseman, as trainer of her string, made an aus- picious debut recently when her four-year-old Brown China won at Sportsmans Park, Chicago. By Mio dArezzo, sire of Mioland, and out of Chinaflor, by Flamboyant, Brown China ran a good race for his new owner. H. Paul Bonner, who is in Chicago with his wife, is one of the owners of the Fort Worth Sand and Gravel Company. I The victory of the Bonner silks was hailed in Tarrant County, where the couple have many friends. The Bonners reside on Crestine Road, but spend a large part of the year at various racing centers. More l than eighteen thoroughbreds have been ac- j quired by Mr. and Mrs. Bonner. Bonner is a member of the Fort Worth Club.
