Hialeah Park Resembles Ghost Town Once Again Empty Stables Boarded Up After Being Sterilized and Cleansed MIAMI, Fla , May 6.— Over 1,200 thoroughbreds that populated the grounds of the Miami Jockey Club during the recent winter meeting, have been evacuated from that popular racing enclosure, and all barns that sheltered many of the leading aces of American racing during the recent successful season, have been boarded up after being sterilized and cleansed. Resembling a ghost town after the hustle and bustle that occupation provided for a period slightly over five months, Hialeah Park will again be in idleness until the return of another racing season. Used during the summer in previous years as a show place for visitors from all parts of the United States, Canada, and several foreign countries, the dream track that Joseph E. Widener built, is being treated by a large corps of landscapers with seed and fertilizer to bring back the lawns and shrubs that were slightly damaged during the 46-day meeting by racegoers and visitors. Shipments in the past month emptied the many acres that stabled some of the leading equines of the turf, and only the memory remains for Henry Morrow, and his crew, that are responsible for the beautiful picture track that Is the show place of Miami.
