Chicago Heights Purse Sportsmans Headliner Seven of Better Class Horses On Grounds Named for Sprint CICERO, 111., May 6.— Tomorrows program of eight races will be headed by the Chicago Heights Purse, an allowance test for three-year-olds and upward, that will be run over the seven -furlong distance. This event brings out seven of the better class horses quartered here to vie for hon-ors over what promises to be an "off" j track. | The six-year-old mare, Ballinderry, who has been seen in action at this half-mile j oval several times since the opening, appears to have the edge over the other contestants as she has had two winning races, both over a muddy racing strip. The daughter i of Strolling Player and Markiluna, who will run in the silks of the Hilltop Stock ! , Farm stable, finished second to Valdina j Paul in her last start, and from the way , she is able to take the sharp turns, and with the light impost of 104, should have ! little trouble in taking the measure of this field. Mordecai, from the racing establishment of F. W. Cairy, has shown marked improve- ! ment in all his previous races and moves up on an "off" track. This six-year-old [ gelding likes this half-mile track and, from his recent morning trials, appears to be ready to give a good account of himself. Of the others scheduled to participate in j the headliner, C. H. Durschs four-year-old colt, Relious, seems the one most likely to cause the stiffest competition at the distance. This colt has always given his best in his previous attempts and can be looked for to be right there at the finish. The Chicago Heights will be rounded out with such performers as Mrs. G. H. Emicks Book Plate, Daybreak, who races in the silks of the W. B. Stucki; Maisco, from the stable of Mrs. A. M. Creech, and E. C. A. Bergers Kantar Run.
