Mates for Annapolis Blue SALINAS, Calif., May 6.— Alan Pattee, who, with Mrs. Pattee, operates the Etap breeding farm near here, reports that the Blue Larkspur sire, Annapolis Blue, who he leased from Louis B. Mayer, will cover sixteen mares this season, his second in stud. He will be mated with two belonging to Mrs. W. P. Roths Why Worry Farm, two the property of Mrs. Marion Vanderbilt Phelps, three belonging to E. M. Markham, one owned by Miss Bettie Greene and the home mares and several others. The Pattee mares to be bred to Annapolis Blue are Lady Flinders, by Macaw; Phalazetta, by Phalaros; June Moon, by Blink XL; Veruzza, by Dunlin, and The Gull, by Eagle Head. Three foals have arrived at Etap farm. They are a colt, by Sir Andrew, out of Lady Flinders; colt, by Cynic, out of June Moon, and colt, by Cynic, out of Veruzza.
