Trio of Hopefuls Work For Governors Handicap No Competition, Viscounty and Transfigure Test Suffolk OyoI BOSTON, Mass., May 13.— Three candidates for. Saturdays running of the Governors Handicap, the ,000 added one mile event which will feature the week-end card, were on the track this morning, Bernard B. Robinsons No Competition, Val-dina Farms Viscounty and John L. Sullivans Transfigure. No Competition, who won his last start in the 0,000 added Rhode Island Handicap, feature of the Narragansett Park spring meeting, was sent a mile and accomplished his move in 1:45% while working well within himself. Fractional times for the California-owned colts efforts were :50%, 1:17%, over a track which had been made muddy by the thundershowers during the night, but which was drying out fast. Viscounty, the Valdina Farms representative, who made such a good showing when here, in New England two years ago, was also sent a mile. The son of The Porter clicked off the fractions in :49%, l:152/5, and finished out quite handily in 1:43%. Transfigure, who comes to New England after a campaign in New Orleans and Maryland, was only asked to move five-eighths of a mile. He accomplished that assignment in 1:03%, handily. While not originally named as being expected to start, Mrs. H. T. Archibalds Boston Man may go to the post in Saturdays feature. George Arvin, who conditions that handicap performer, has taken a call on the veteran George Seabo in case he elects to send his charge to the post in the sixth running of the Governors Handicap. The remainder of the field still shapes up the same with Mrs. Louise Palladinos Little Beans, John L. Sullivans Air Mistress, Mrs. Charles Nelsons Alaking, J, H. Miles Itabo, John R. Macombers Side Arm and the Coldstream Stables Tragic Ending listed among those expected to start.
