Greenrree Pair and Requested In Preps for Withers Stakes ELMONT. L. I., N. Y., May 13.— Mrs. Payne Whitneys Devil Diver and Shut Out and Mrs. Ben F. Whitaker s Requested, three prominent eligibles for the 5,000 added mile Withers Stakes at Belmont Park on Saturday, May 23, received their first breezes since the Preakness, at the Nassau County course yesterday morning. Shut Out, winner of the Kentucky Derby and a Preakness disappointment, breezed a half in :51% and five-eighths in 1:05 Vs. Devil Diver, going over the same ground on the training track, was timed in :52 and 1:06%. The Greentree pair worked alone. Requested, who dead-heated Sun Again for the place in the Preakness, breezed a half in :52 and five furlongs in 1:05 on the same strip.
