I Higleys Sensational Riding ! Feature at Sportsmans Park CICERO, 111., May 13. — Apprentice Jess Higley, who has been doing some real riding i here at this spring meeting, appears as the I lad who will wind up the 19-day season, as top reinsman. For the first fifteen j days of the meeting, Higley has 23 winners to his credit, 16 seconds, and 11 thirds. This puts him seven winners in front of his closest rival, Don MacAndrew, who has 16 winners, 10 seconds, and 9 thirds. Next in line for honors is another apprentice rider. Harry Schuling, who has to date ridden 11 winners, 6 seconds, and 6 thirds. In fourth place is the apprentice. E. Guerin with 9 winners, 16 seconds and 13 thirds. Jess Higley rode four winners in one afternoon, which is a rare feat on any race course. The lad has shown remarkable judgment and courage in all his races and appears destined to beocme one of the top-notch riders of this era with more experience.
