Alsab in Belmont Stakes ELMONT, L. I., N. Y., May 13.— Mrs. Al Sabaths Alsab, who Saturday, at Pimlico, recovered his prestige in setting a new Preakness time record, is the first and only supplementary nominee to the 5,000 added Belmont Stakes thus far. Supplementary eligibility to this famed mile and a half "classic" is at a fee of ,500, the largest .sum exacted in supplemental subscription to any stake. Current 1 , Alsab looms as the favorite for the 74th Belmont, on getaway day of the meeting, Saturday, June 6th. The supplementary closing date of the Belmont Stakes is May 15, at midnighi.
