BARRACA, quick to get going, drew clear after being straightened in the back stretch, was kept under light pressure in the drive and held v MARANDAN safe. The latter, close up from the start, was hard urged after a half mile, but could not gain ground. SOUR CHERRY improved her position slowly and failed to menace. BABY BONNET was prominently placed, but could not rally. CASTLE KOCH lost ground from the start. SILVER PICK showed nothing in the footing. MICROPLAY and FREE RIDE did not fancy the footing. WHITE HOT, favoring the toting and close up early, went up with a rush to take command on the last turn, then, saving ground in he drive, drew out under light punishment. PIMLICO LADY improved her position when straightened in he back stretch and swung slightly wide on the stretch turn, then tired in the drive. GRAND LUCK was itoutly handled and was best of the others. OKLAHOMA passed tiring horses. IN PORT could not get :lear while setting the pace and tired when caught. SATIN ROYCE stumbled at the break and fell far iack. ARBOREAL was done early. BILLIE NIPPER showed little. Won driving; second and third the same. TENSLEEP, hurried into a contending position and rated for five-eighths, went to the front under a drive, then held on tenaciously to outstay BROOMORIA. The latter, taken to the outside when bettering her position, worked her way to the leaders, then fought it out nicely when reaching the winner. SISTAUR, eased out of tight quarters in the back stretch, responded for the drive, but failed to threaten the first two. FARMLANDS was displaced early when unable to negotiate the footing. ARDMORE II. was done after a half mile. LORTON and JUSTA JIMMIE were never factors. GRAND COURT, in pursuit of the leaders from the start and forced to race on the inside, responded to determined pressure in the last eighth and finished with excellent courage to get up in the last few strides. BERWYN was sent into a tlear lead, was kept in the better footing wherever possible, was shaken up vigorously, but gave way slowly under punishment in the drive. MISS KSAR, sluggish for five-eighths, swung to the outside, then closed with a tremendous rush. SHOWABAL worked his way into a forward position, but had little left »fter making up considerable ground. DURABLE was handled strongly and went well. LADY JAFFA raced •venly. JALAINE began tiring after a half mile. SILVER BEAM labored in the footing. JUNIOR PROM, having good speed to get to the front, was kept out in the firm footing, rallied vieorously when challenged- entering the stretch and, finishing stoutly under punishment, outstayed LAST BET. The latter, closest to the winner, drove up on the inside for the stretch drive and hung approaching the finish. GRAND DAY had good speed to race forwardly and was going gamely at the end. SPECTATOR, sluggish in the early running, could not improve his position in the drive. SAMPLER broke off stride. FLYING HEART could not keep up. TAUT was outrun. DARTSPIN had no excuse. PORT MELODY rushed into a forward position, responded gamely to punishment and gained ground steadily in the last three-eighths. NEW FACE, slow to get into stride, improved her position gamely, but failed to reach the first two. SUN MAKER began tardily and was outrun, then went wide to pass tiring horses. LOCH RAVEN was done after forcing the pace for a half mile. MAIDEN FERN was never a factor. FALCONIERE was held safe. PETES GOLD flashed early speed. LIGHT OF MORN, forced to hold a position with the leaders while racing between horses, moved into a short lead midway of the turn, continued strongly and drew out readily in the stretch drive. ROMAN BOY handled his weight nicely to race ! in the thick of contention, but was unable to stay with the winner and barely outstayed NOT SURE. The latter set a fast pace for three-eighths, then tired. DOTTIE was ridden hard while losing eround. CHILLEEVALLE raced well throughout. NAVIGATION began tiring after a half.
