Prominent Riders Get Mounts For Metropolitan Handicap ELMONT, L. I., N. Y., May 13.— A majority of prominent jockeys have already been engaged for the 49th running of the 0,000 added Metropolitan Handicap. Mrs. Parker Comings Attention is to be handled by jockey Don Meade, who rode him in the Dixie, in which he was a close second to Whirlaway. Mrs. Payne Whitneys team of Third Degree and Swing and Sway are to be ridden by Eddie Arcaro and Wayne Wright respectively. Leon "Buddy" Haas, contract booter for the C S. Howard string, will have the leg up on Mioland, as usual. Johnny Gilbert is to guide Victor Emanuels Omission, winner of the Toboggan Handicap on opening day. Alfred Robertson will ride Myron Selznicks Cant Wait, j while JonnLongden Is to have the mount I on George b. Wideners Rosetown.
