Probably the most prominent California horse coming here is Mr. and Mrs. Grimes With Regards, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby, after pacing the field for more than a mile. With Regards sustained an injured heel in the Derby, but is reported improving rapidly, and should get back in training before the Lincoln Fields session ends. Whether he will be seen under colors here will depend on his further progress. Stalking and Fillibeg to Compete Russell is sending several capable runners here, including the fast sprinter. Stalking, and the speedy three-year-old filly, Fillibeg, a stake winner last year on the West Coast. The most prominent members of the Rowan forces are the one-time top-notch sprinter, Our Mat, and the good mare, African Queen, while Chester Lauck, the "Lum" of the radio team of Lum and Abner, is shipping in the three-year-old, Lums Pride, and other horses. Marchbank, owner of the Tanforan race track and master of Heather Farm in California, is invading Lincoln Fields with twenty thoroughbreds, while Willie Molter is transferring as many from Sportsmans Park. One of the Berger horses is Boot and Spur, another who took part in the recent running of the Kentucky Derby. The presence of these stables will lend intersectional flavor to the racing at Lincoln Fields, whose 30-day spring meeting promises to be one of the best conducted In many years.
