HIBERNIAN was always a forward factor and, under good handling, outfinished his opposition. TIM0TI, slow to settle in stride, circled the entire field and closed willingly. ELEVENTH HOUR saved ground to reach the leader, then hung in the final test. TATU challenged for the lead leaving the final turn and tired. CHARMING HERO closed with good energy. JAB ME raced evenly. GOOD GRAVY dwelt at the start. NEW CHUM was through early. LUCKY CHANGE broke tardily. LORD HAIRAN quit to a walk as did ELECTRIC. BAD LIGHT set the pace to the late stretch and weakened slightly. CUBAN BILL rallied only mildly. KELS LOVE closed well through the stretch after racing wide on the turn. STROLUNG ON, off well but taken under steadying restraint, responded to urging to gain a forward position after a mile and a half and wore down PICTURE PRINCE in the closing drive. PICTURE PRINCE was a forward factor from the beginning, assumed command when OSSABAWS saddle slipped after clearing the thirteenth fence, but was unable to withstand the winner SIMILAR was unable to close ground in the final stages STRAYER caught tired horses. FOURTH ARM was racing well placed when he fenced poorly at the tenth jump. ABIDALE had early speed. OSSABAW was setting a good pace when his saddle slipped after clearing the thirteenth jump. DESERT RULER moved into contention boldly on the turn, but was unable to threaten the first two. PAPETE, shuffled back at the start, was almost knocked down leaving the three-eighths pole and turned in a good effort. OAYR closed willingly. SAGGY moved through on the inside to show in front immediately after the start, saved ground while withstanding repeated challenges of BRANDY PUNCH and drew clear under intermittent pressure during the final furlong. BRANDY PUNCH made several attempts to displace the leader, but was not equal to the task. BRASS BAND and EQUIBIT raced on even terms far behind the top pair. SPANISH UHL, steadied in close attendance to the early pace, assumed the lead on the final turn, turned back LORD CALVERT and was drawing clear slightly at the end. LORD CALVERT, shuffled back at the break, moved boldly on the outside rounding the final turn, then hung. SERVICE PILOT was allowed to settle into stride, threatened in the early stretch, but failed to respond to pressure. CHANTEUSE was hard ridden, but could not improve her position. DOLLY VARDEN tired. BLUE DREAM caught tired horses. ORANGE BLOSSOM set the pace under strong restraint, but flattened out when set down for the drive. FIRST DRAFT was outrun. OUTSIDER saved ground to the final turn, went to the outside, but was no match for the winner. RELIOUS was always prominent, but failed to rally. HEMJOHN weakened after pressing the pace. CASH 0. BOY was rallying nicely until reaching the stretch, then lacked racing room during the drive. BELLCLAPPER caught tired horses. INEZ M. was through early. ANNE AGAIN quit badly after showing in front to the stretch. GENIAL SAM S. tired.
