Burns to Sub for White CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 7. — Beginning Monday, Carl Burns will be in the starters stand here. He will replace Reuben White, who goes to Hawthorne Sunday. White has been doing the Downs starting since the opening of the current meeting and Burns is his first assistant. At Hawthorne, White will send the fields away through the five weeks of the Lincoln Fields meeting.
