Jockeys to Visit Patients BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., May 7. — Several patients from the paraplegic ward at St. Albans Naval Hospital near Jamaica race track expressed a desire to Commander Edward Hammond that they be enabled to meet some of the famous race riders who are now active at Belmont Park. These semi -paralyzed veterans have already been visited by numerous stars of other sports. Pat Kelly, secretary of the Jockeys Guild, responded promptly by arranging a party including Ted Atkinson, Eric Guerin, Basil James, Harold Allgaier and Warren Mehrtens, who will go to the hospital after the last race today.
