JODAS JOE trailed until leaving the backstretch, moved around on the outside quickly and wore down WALLOON in the drive. The latter was steadied in a forward position, disposed of AGRARIAN SON to take a clear lead in the stretch and held on stubbornly under his weight. STELL, a forward factor from the beginning, held on well. FOUR TENS finished fast from a slow beginning. SEAPAR moved into closer contention in the backstretch, but flattened out. AGRARIAN SON was sent into a clear lead and was steadied in front, but quit. DEVILS ISLAND was done early. Overweight— Seapar, 4 pounds. Jodas Joe claimed by W T. Beezley. Walloon claimed by Mrs. S Gorbet. Attendance, 11,952; Total Mutuel Pool, 65,080. Returned to Public, 65,620, Less Breakage.
