DOCKIE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under good rating and, ridden out through the stretch, retained his advantage. BOB MURPHY, in hand until reaching the final quarter, finished gamely under urging, but could not threaten the winner. UNCLE MAC, never far back and in hand to the stretch, made a good bid when rousea for the drive, but faltered nearing the finish. STRIDE WELL broke out badly while racing prominently to the upper turn, then tired. DARK HEATHER drifted out on the first turn and was never a serious factor. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. Won driving; second and third the same ROY JAY went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch and, responding readily when set down for the drive, increased his advantage thereafter. PURITAN, in hand to the final quarter, came willingly through the stretch, but could not reach the winner. DAUBERUP, slow to get going and far back to the last three-eighths, finished fast. PIPLAD tired near the end. PAPER CLIP, forced to go to the outside when crowded on the stretch turn, could not threaten thereafter. OLD BET raced prominently to the stretch, then weakened. Won easily; second and third driving AWAY, in hand and steadied along to the stretch, assumed command when roused and drew clear without need of further urging. RED SPIRIT went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then was unable to hold the winner. SOLID MEAT, sent to the outside near the final turn, made a good bid, but failed to better his position when hard ridden during the drive BORDER VOLUBLE tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. RICH UNCLE had early speed. BIDDY BARTON was outrun. KERRYGATOR was never dangerous. GELLERS OUT tired. Scratched— 22118 Spring Dun, 109. Solid Meat claimed by Mrs. R. J. Doyle.
