The son of Endy was unplaced in the Hawthorne Handicap last Saturday, but accounted for the Inaugural on opening day of the meeting. The Inaugural was a seven-fur- long test, but there Bank Balance was asked to carry only 105 pounds. Under the allowance conditions of the Rockwell his burden is tops at 120 pounds, and it will be interesting to watch his ability to han- die the additional poundage. He was in the mile and a sixteenth Hawthorne under 110 pounds, but did not run his best race over a slow track. Stiff competition to the topweight in the Rockwell can be expected from Rush Act, who will represent J. H. Miles. The son of Jacopo gave evidence of present fitness When he was a handy winner of a seven-furlong test at last asking when carrying a 0,000 claiming tag. In his previous race he was a creditable third in the Ber-wyn Purse and has been a fairly consistent sort. Wow Coming Off Win Anthony Ferrara has named the hardhitting Blackwood gelding, Wow, to the Rockwell. A convincing winner of his latest six and a half furlongs race and third prior to that test, he needs only to retain his good form to give a good account of himself. Happy Hour Farms Cherry Wine can be given consideration on the strength of his smashing second in the Berwyn Purse, although he was unplaced in his later appearance in the Hawthorne. Felix Randos Camps First brings a fair record from his New Orleans campaign, where he was able to win. Rockwood Lou will represent F. and R. Mavigiliano and is capable of making his presence felt against adversaries of this calibre by a peak effort. He has been racing at Oaklawn Park. David C. Wilhelms Ted Mosquero may have needed his last race over the track in which he was fourth to perfect his condition. F. J. DeMarys Rodman Keenon brings a creditable New Orleans record to recommend him. Mrs. W. Percys Steel Chain won a race recently at Oaklawn Park, where he dominated ,500 opposition.
