Hoertz Moves Into Stand CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville. Ky.. May 7. — When James A. Clark, Churchill Downs placing judge, left for the Lincoln Fields-at-Hawthorne meeting. Raymond Hoertz moved into the stand and Clifford Trimpe replaced Hoertz as official timer. Clark is doing preliminary work at the Illinois track, along with racing secretary Lawrence Bogenschutz and resident manager Russell Sweeney.
