Apprentice Allowance Changes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 7. — Arthur Hunt, clerk of scales at Suffolk Downs, was called upon to do a fancy bit of juggling in todays third race, due to the numerous apprentice allowances being utilized. Jimmy Humphreys and Clovis Bureau each lost "one bug, as the result of scoring their twentieth wins on Tuesday, necessitating a two-pound waiver. Raymond Prevost, Bill Harris and Johnnie Huggins continue to exercise their "double bugs," while Harold Keene was still benefiting from the three-pound allowance he enjoys while riding for his original contract employer, the Reynolds Brothers.
