TRYOUT shook off LADY EGRET to take a clear advantage on the turn and drew clear to win with speed in reserve. DENAGEE was always a forward factor, challenged nearing the stretch and tired thereafter. LADY EGRET, hard ridden in an attempt to stay with the early pace, weakened gradually when unsuccessful. SLEIGH BELLS was unable to keep up early, but closed willingly. CONSTANTINOS raced evenly. WHY CRY was knocked out of contention at the start. KILUNA weakened after showing speed for a half. CHAMADE moved into serious contention on the turn, continued her rally from the outside and wore down SHES SCOTCH. The latter was hustled to attain the lead, outfinished speedy horses in the drive, but could not resist the winner. BRAMBLETTE raced forwardly placed on the outside from the start and was gaining on the top ones at the end. FIGAROSE worked way between horses in the stretch and showed a good effort. LOVE MY GAL took a slight lead briefly in midstretch and tired. HAPPY MOOSE closed willingly. HUSH-HUSH and HATTIE K. failed to reach contention after breaking tardily. TACARO BRIAR, steadied in close attendance to the early pace, challenged from the outside and outfinished SHAKO. The latter lacked racing room while on the inside and behind horses all around the turn, then closed willingly when able to move through. MEETMENOW, much used in shaking off GRILLETTE after a half, held on tenaciously to the final yards and faltered. BLUE PROOF raced wide while rallying. RIP AWAY made up ground and appears ready for best. GRILLETTE, hard ridden while maintaining a slight lead, quit badly. Scratched— 2171 62 Turnabout, 106. Overweight— Meetmenow, 3J pounds. WELL, under restraint while a forward factor throughout, took over the lead from FLOATING ISLE after the thirteenth fence and was not threatened thereafter. FLEETTOWN moved into contention at once, jumped well and moved through on the inside on the final flat to be up in the final stride for the place. FLOATING ISLE jumped well while setting the pace and weakened after a mile and a half. GALACTIC fenced poorly at the fit few jumps, rallied mildly after a mile and a half, but was not good enough. PREFECT was perfectly rated after being sent to the front leaving the gate and was under intermittent pressure through the stretch. EVER MESSAGE was always prominent, could not menace the winner, but held on gamely to take the place over WAR WATCH. The latter was sluggish early, made several rallies and closed willingly. CHANCEGAIN saved ground, but was not good enough. BLUESWEEP lacked racing room on the inside behind the leader early and flattened out under pressure. COPY BOY was overmatched. MISS COLUMBUS moved to the leader resolutely approaching the quarter pole, but tired in the drive ROSEMERE LIN faltered steadily in the closing stages. BONYIK went evenly. CONNACHTA, slow to settle into his best stride, was sent around the leaders to assume command entering the stretch and held sway to the finish under strong handling.
