Lookout Son in Front-Running Success at Suffolk Downs SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 13. — Lookout Son, owned by Jimmy Brinks Lookout Stud, upset the calculations and scored a front-running victory over Joseph Gavegnanos Directoire in the six-furlong Dorchester Purse that served as the feature at Suffolk Downs this afternoon. F. M. Poncelets Charing Rock, installed public choice by the majority of the 12,704 patrons, weakened but out-photoed Mrs. B. F. Listers Evening Rose for the minor award. Lookout Sen, ridden by apprentice Gerry p Schreck, carried his 111 pounds in fine fashion and was timed in 1:12% for the sprint test, paying 3.20. Prior to todays race, Lookout Son had displayed early foot in an overnight allowance won by Murlogg Farms Gee Wihz, winding up seventh in a field of 10. In that race the son of Sun Teddy set the pace for a half-mile before wilting, but today was a different story as the five-year-old continued on gamely after drifting out slightly on the final turn. After the veteran pilot Fernando Fernandez scored with W. F. Mannaghs Tiger Nip in the opener, apprentice riders took over the spotlight with Boyle, Delpidio, Richardo DeStasio, Frankie Keene and Schreck scoring in that order.
