Loftus Two Preakness Winners PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 13.— Johnny Loftus, who rode two winners of the Preakness, Sir Barton, the first of the "Triple Crown" winners, in 1919, and Jack Hart, winner in 1918, was later a familiar training figure here. He narrowly missed saddling a winner as well, training the mighty Pompoon when that horse was nosed out by War Admiral in 1937.
