BLACK DISC assumea command early, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, then was ridden out to hold her advantage. MINNESOTA, forced wide entering the stretch, closed determinedly when straight for the drive, but was unable to reach the winner. ROMANTIC DREAM raced evenly to the stretch, made a bold bid when set down in the drive, but faltered nearing the finish. RAPID ROBERT lacked early speed. R0DRIG0 went wide at the stretch turn. CANINA SIS was outrun. ROSY GOING raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. GOOD FORTUNE drifted out throughout and lost all chance. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. DEAR BOOTS, never far back and well ridden, wore down JESSICA B. in the stretch and won with little left. JESSICA B. went to the front early, established a clear lead approaching the stretch, then faltered during the drive and could not hold the winner. BIG GRAVEL gave a good effort and had no mishap. LADY JO lacked early speed, but finished willingly under brisk handling. BLUE GOLD tired after engaging JESSICA B. to the stretch. LUCKY J0SEY was never dangerous. CALLED ON could not keep up. ORK, away sluggishly, steadily worked way forward under good handling, wore down NEYLAND during the stretch run, then held SCENE safe. The latter, outrun to the stretch, finished fast under punishment, but could not overtake the winner. NEYLAND assumed command early, made the pace until nearing the finish, then faltered when challenged by ORK. CHALLEPORT held on well in a good effort. LETS RUN began fast, engaged NEYLAND to the stretch, then tired. PINE GROVE could not keep up. CHICKEN HAWK was never dangerous. ROSE OF ERIN had brief speed. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. FERN HI, forwardly placed from the start, shook off MIBOYS SUGAR entering the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand STATION AGENT. The latter, outrun early, responded to punishment when settled for the drive and, closing stoutly, was getting to the winner at the finish. NO PEACE lacked early speed, but finished fast on the extreme outside. MYTY PHAR, never far back but on the outside, made a bold bid entering the stretch, but faltered during the final furlong BAR POOL was done early. HOT CHOCOLATE tired after racing well to the stretch. MIBOYS SUGAR raced with FERN HI to the stretch, then weakened. MISS NAP began fast, but could not keep up. Overweight— Miss Nap, 2 pounds. SUSAN W. B., a sharp factor from the start, but forced to take up at the final turn when caught between horses, held on willingly when clear, yet was not good enough for the winner. BYJA COPO went to the front when settled for the drive, then faltered during the final rj furlong. PUSSY WILLOW failed to stay after showing early speed. SLAMARANTH was done early.
