Floating Carries Brookmeade Colors to Garden State Tally GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 13. — Floating, carrying the Brookmeade Stable colors, proved a clever winner of the field in this afternoons feature. She held a two and a half lengths margin at the finish over James Cox Bradys Kidded while in third place was War Tempo racing for the Glen Riddle Farm. The winner, while holding something in reserve at the finish, may have been harder pressed had not Kidded encountered racing misfortune rounding the far turn. The feature offering was restricted to three-year-old fillies which had not won two races other than maiden or claiming at any time. The score was the second racked up for the Brookmeade representative this season for she earned her seasonal brackets in a claiming race on the opening day of this meeting. Floating was ridden by C. Martens and was accorded extensive support, paying .80. The homebred raced the distance in 1:43%. Today was Reciprocity Club day at Garden State Park and in the crowd of 11,235, many members of that organization wit- nessed the running of the days racing from the clubhouse enclosure.
