Volunteer Horsemens One-Day Meeting at Nashville Today NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 13.— Mason Houghland, chairman of the arrangement committee, announced everything in complete readiness for tomorrows annual presentation of the one-day hunt meeting held at Percy Warner Park. The afternoons program, which is highlighted by the ,000 Iroquois Memorial Steeplechase, is held under the auspices of the Volunteer State Horsemens Association, and the largest crowd ever to witness the afternoons sport is expected to attend. Considerable efforts have been put forth toward the improvement of this one-day affair, as shown by the increasing of the purse of the Iroquois to its present value, which was originally ,500. In addition to the purse money, a permanent trophy will be presented to the winning owner. The Iroquois is decided over the gruelling distance of three miles, and included in this contest are sixteen jumps.
