MONS BOY saved ground while racing within striking distance of the early leaders, came to the inside on the upper turn and, after reaching the lead, held the others safe under punishment. NICKEY W. was forced wide on the final turn when SPRING CHIMES drifted out, then finished full of run when straightened. SPRING CHIMES showed high early speed as usual and bore out on the stretch turn. REIGHS COMET closed a gap. CHALLORETTE never threatened. BOBS PICK was never dangerous. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. Goldstine; bred by Black Gold Stock Farms. . WENT TO POST-4:58. OFF AT 4:58 CENTRAL STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. OLD IRON opened a commanding lead immediately following the start, made the pace to the furlong marker without urging and won in hand. FLOATING CLOWN, unhurried when outrun early, moved up menacingly on the far turn, appeared to be getting to the leader entering the stretch, but flattened out thereafter. CHOPPY SEA slipped through next to the rail entering the stretch, but could not overtake the leaders. PREPOTENTE came out for the drive, was sent to the inside nearing the eighth marker, was forced to take up when in close quarters and could not threaten thereafter. SHUT EYE lost ground throughout MISS G0LIGHTLY was pinched back going to the first turn and was forced to take up slightly. Floating Clown claimed by E. R. Morris. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. VALDINA TYRANT, prominent from the beginning, came out for the drive and outlasted SEGUNDO SOMBRA in a long drive. The latter gradually worked his way forward between horses and closed resolutely in a sharp effort. DUFFLE made a good bid on the upper turn while on the outside, then tired. MARTHARINE went to the front entering the stretch, but could not keep up. LIEUT. DAN was outrun. DELIVER quit. BACK INTEREST was badly outrun for three-quarters, then caught tiring horses. BRASS CANNON was through early. LEO RED displayed brief speed. ROMANCE HILL and FALLONS FOLLY had a rough trip. Scratched— 739914 Elktonia Queen, 107; 73911 Easy Joy, 112.
