ANALII, outrun to the stretch, was sent - to the extreme outside for the drive and, responding readily when shaken up, wore down the leaders and drew 5 clear. DOC STEARN went to the front early, made the pace until well inside the stretch, then faltered. GOOD a£ HEAVENS finished strongly on the outside, but could not menace the leaders. BAR POOL raced evenly with-O out mishap. FREE MEAL began fast and raced with DOC STEARN to the stretch before tiring. WHAT A DAY raced prominently for a half mile, then gave way. RUDY JOE, fractious at the post, showed nothing in the rn running. AH OUI was never dangerous. 3 Scratched-70568 OCawy, 117; 70700 Turban, 110. — Overweight— Ah Oui, 4 pounds. MARQUEST, in hand to the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and wore down the leaders during the last -Sixteenth. BAUMBACH worked way forward steadily, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not withstand the winner. MIO LIPS went to the front when settled in the stretch, but faltered nearing the finish. PENNSTOWN failed to stay after racing well for a half mile. BEL STOCK raced wide. DELFEB gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. TIGER AGE was far back throughout. POMPEYS SONG had early speed, but could not keep up and did not appear in fit condition. Overweight— Pennstown, 2 pounds; Tiger Age, 2; Pompeys Song, 3. Attendance 10,376; Total Mutuel Pool, 97,712.
